Essential Duties:
  • Provide engineering design, tooling design, process automation and CNC programming services.
  • Support of the department goals to introduce new technologies into the dental ceramic industries.
  • Researching and developing new products.
  • Establishing new production methods.
  • Developing quality standards for new and existing products.
  • Testing new materials and developing new chemical formulations for the production and manufacturing of dental ceramics.
  • Determining cost estimates and providing customer support.
  • Applying principles of chemical engineering, physics and chemistry in the designing, processing and manufacture of dental ceramics.
  • Developing and establishing sampling, testing and preparation standards for the manufacture of dental ceramic products by the physical and chemical characterization.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Ceramics or Chemical Engineering.
  • Five years experience in Research and Development and manufacturing of dental ceramics.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

This is primarily a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.  Finger dexterity is needed to hold and work with the hand tools.  The position primarily requires the individual to be mobile, bend, lift up to twenty five pounds, reach, sit walk and stare at small objects from close range: requires close attention to detail.
